Downtown Building Lights

The DDA has been lighting up the tops of our historic buildings all around the Courthouse Square for the holidays for years now. Our lights are the highest grade commercial LED light strings available, but they unfortunately don’t tolerate the hot days of summer, so we need to take them down around March, maintain/store them and then put them back up for the holidays - they are up now, near a quarter mile of them! Folks love the festive spirit of these lights but we need to fund the professionals who manage them for us (we have tried with volunteers but the enthusiasm for old guys crawling around slippery roofs didn’t pan out). So, we need to ask every year for donations to fund the program, some $5,600 per year. We greatly appreciate what you can do for us to keep our downtown lit up to improve our spirits during the dark day of winter. So, your dollars are welcome – any amount really – to keep this popular program going.
