9:30am: Check in at the steps of the courthouse: get your map, backpack & have some time to plan your route. You will receive a list of destinations, tasks and times if applicable.
10am: teams leave to locations around and near downtown to complete a list of challenges. While it is possible to walk, there are two locations that would be better accessed by vehicle. You will need your phone to record your evidence of completion.
10am-2pm: Take your time or go quickly. Here's how it works: the first team of two to check in at the Visitor Center with a completed list wins a $100 gift card for select locations. They also get 1st place medals to proudly display their accomplishment! The 2nd and 3rd teams to arrive will also get medals signaling their placement. Pictures will be taken, applause will be in order, proud smiles are required. All teams who finish (with the exception of the 1st place team) get entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card and get "Discover Dallas Dash" medals to celebrate their participation. More pictures, applause and smiles will occur.
2pm: Final countdown. Teams must check in by 2pm to get their medals and be entered into the drawing. If you have taken the scenic route and meandered about the town, no worries, but set your alarm to check in by 2pm to get your medal and be entered into the drawing.
What will you need?
1. A partner if you want. Medals come in twos so we'll have two first place winners, two second place and two third place. If your team is bigger than two, please divide yourselves into two for the tasks. If you want to do it on your own, no worries, then you are the team. Make sure you know how to take a selfie!
2. Bring water, snacks if desired and a phone. Your phone will be needed to document your completion of the tasks assigned.
3. Energy, excitement and laughter! We're going to have fun!
