I grew up in Ohio and moved west when I turned 18. I lived in Southern California until 2017 when I first moved up to Oregon. I lasted about a year and a half and booked it back to the sunshine. I ended up finding my way back to Oregon in spring of 2021. I moved to the Willamette Valley because my best friend lives here. I’ve enjoyed living the small-town life of Monmouth and recently found a wonderful job in Dallas at Citizens Bank. I really like the community feel of the towns I work & live in. I have four fur babies two cats and two dogs which keep me busy. In the summer, I love the outdoors and gardening which is one of the reasons Oregon caught my eye, the beauty of nature if everywhere you go. My hobbies are collecting rocks/crystals, house plants, and cooking. Also, I’m a huge college football fan. Go Buckeyes!
Katy has been a staple in Dallas since she was a child. She is currently raising her family here. She works for Two Wolves Taproom and has been involved in the community in many ways in the past. She is looking forward to volunteering for the DDA board and becoming more involved in the downtown businesses as a representative of Two Wolves Taproom. She can’t wait to get involved in meaningful ways.

Brian is 4th generation Dallas and has been highly involved in the revitalization of our downtown since retiring from the US Army in 1993. He was president of the Oregon Mayors Association in 2019 and currently serves on the Dallas Economic Development Commission, the Dallas Historic Landmarks Commission, the La Creole Node Task Force and the Design Committee of the DDA. He is a platinum member of the DDA and he and his wife Carol sponsor the annual Scarecrow Contest. Brian was a recent recipient of a volunteer of the year award from Oregon Main Street for his work with the DDA.
I teach classes at Anytime Fitness Monday – Thursday mornings. I like to promote a healthy lifestyle while having fun at the same time. By day, I’m a Title Officer at First American Title. I love that I get to meet people moving in and out of Dallas, and I get to see how the city is growing and developing. During my free time I play Bingo, Bunco, Trivia, attend water aerobics, wine taste and hang out with friends at the taphouse. I love getting to meet new people in the town and make connections with others. I attend Wake up Wednesdays, Young Pros and last year stepped up to help keep Dallas Days alive. With Dallas Days, I helped gather community members and planned monthly meetings to make sure the event was a fun and safe community event.
Hector is the proud owner of Mama Gordita’s kitchen, a family owned and run restaurant. Starting with a small food truck in McMinnville back in 2020 right before the pandemic to opening here in 2024 has been an exciting experience.
Hector is a hard worker who holds another job in addition to owning the restaurant. He embraces social media and creates reels and advertisements featuring the star of the restaurant: the food! These advertisements, along with his use of signage and promotion has brought attention to the restaurant but the food has kept everyone coming back.
Hector is happy to be getting involved with the community in other ways, having already adopted a zone for leaf pick up and now, joining the DDA board. As a business owner, he can offer his perspective on what brings people to downtown and what helps businesses be successful.
