2023 Snowman Contest - Krazy Dayz!

First Annual Snowman Contest!

The DDA is excited to announce that it will be holding the first annual snowman contest as part of promoting Krazy Dayz this year. With the theme for Krazy Dayz being "Christmas in July," what better way to celebrate that than with snowmen! You can find more details about the contest below. How to Enter

Please complete an entry form by June 24, 2023. You can complete the online form below!

Entry Fee

There is a $15 entry fee to enter the contest and you must register to be eligible for consideration for prizes.

Entry fees go to cover the costs of printing ballots and promotional materials for the event, as well as funding the prize pool for this event. If you are a business or organization looking to sponsor the event, please email [email protected]


Winners in each category will be awarded a $100 cash prize. There will be five categories:

  • Most Creative
  • Most Elaborate Decorations
  • Funniest
  • Most likely to melt (So bad, it's good!)
  • Best Overall

Contest Rules

  • Snowmen can be made of any materials you choose, but will be exposed to the elements (heat, wind, people, etc).
  • Displays cannot damage the pole, sidewalk, or surrounding space in any way.
  • Snowmen may not include adult, political, violent, socially insensitive, or excessively gory themes. Any display the DDA finds to be inappropriate must be fittingly altered or taken down immediately.
  • The DDA will make be the final decision-maker in any questions regarding the rules of this contest.
  • Each display can extend out five feet on either side of the pole parallel to the curb, and no more than three feet out from the pole on the sidewalk. Displays must not block good passage of pedestrian traffic.<


Participants of the contest are solely responsible for setting up, removal of display, and any items to complete their display. The Dallas Downtown Association is not responsible for loss or damage of any displays. Entry in the Dallas Downtown Association 1st Annual Snowman Contest constitutes an agreement with the terms specified above.

All entries will be sent a confirmation email of acceptance into the contest, and a separate email for display location by June 24, 2023.
